Jodhaa Akhbar- a tribute to inter religeous matrimony

So the message of the film is "Respect religeons equally, be tolerant of one another and take the best from one another, and they can harmoniously coincide.

Hrithik Roshan will no doubt walk away with the best actor award for Jodhaa Akhbar, and Aishwarya was beautifully clad with Tanishq jewels and Neeta Lula Clothes, but she has given better performances in movies like Guru.

Although the social message was well portrayed, the story was shortcoming of acceptable. From the lack of detail to Akhbar's life, personality and the inconsistency of weaving the story together there were a few loopholes that were seen. It was seen that the actors were at moments left to their own skills without direction, and confusing expressions from Hrithik Roshans character in Laksh surfaced time and again. There were repetitive dialogues of Akhbar of now wanting to take his own decisons which irritated the audience and made them smirk at what a little child Akhbar was.

If the year was taken and a love story portrayed without historical references of Jodhaa and Akhbar, it would have been somewhat more believable. In this movie however, it apprears as their names were used more as catalysts to bring in the audiences, to interest them. Although I am not an avid historian, it was very demeaning to Akhbar's character in history books.

Choreography was average, nothing much to talk about. The music by AR Rehman was true to script.

Revathy is one of the 11 directors Ram Gopal Varma was the one who started the trend of making a film with 6 different stories embedded in one with 'Darna Marna Hai'. Later, he made 'Darna Zaroori Hai' with seven different directors, directing seven stories.Sanjay Gupta is making 'Dus Kahaniyan' with ten directors directing ten stories. Now Sahara is planning to beat them all by making a film with eleven directors.Sahara is making a film called 'Bombay Eleven' with eleven directors and those who have joined the crew are: Kundan Shah, Sudhir Mishra, Revathy, Anurag Kashyap, Ruchi Narayan and Manish Jha.Sahara will be adding remainder names in days to come for this film budgeted at 8-10 Crores.

Rumours are that Tabu and Upen Patel really got cozy at the Bandra club Poison on Wednesday night.

Apparently Upen had come in with his friends and soon hit the bar enjoying some drinks. However, in sometime he noticed Tabu, chilling out with her friends there too.

So Upen went up to Tabu and they started chatting.

This must have been the first time that they were hanging out together but the chemistry was so visible and one could make out from the body language that they were loving each other’s company.

Tabu seemed to be in high spirits and was overwhelmingly happy.

So what did one see next? Upen kissing Tabu.

And that too not a random kiss but quite a mutual one. Rumours add that Tabu and Upen were even kissing on their way out of the club.

Upen refused to comment on the story.

Now this one is an unlikely pair if not seen as an odd and strange and that too a romantic one. "

Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan may star together : Bollywood News

For the first time Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Aamir Khan may star together in a film.

Years ago, a film was being planned with both Bachchan and Aamir and it also starred Madhuri Dixit , but it was shelved.

And now both Bachchan and Aamir may come together in a sequel to the 2002 film Aankhen that starred Bachchan, Akshay Kumar , Sushmita Sen , Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal in the main roles.

Reports are that producer of ‘Aankhen’ Gaurang Doshi is planning to retain only Bachchan from the original cast and not the others.

Instead, the film will feature along with Bachchan and Aamir, Ajay Devgan , who is reported to play a negative role, Akshaye Khanna and Upen Patel .

The sequel will be different in the fact that none of the actors will be blind.

No female lead has been finalized yet for the sequel. "

In this Friday’s release Fool And Final , cute babe Ayesha Takia plays a wonder woman.The film, directed by choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan, is a funny comedy about a number of over-the-top characters. A part of the film is a spoof on the superheroes trying to save the world.

But there are no superheroes in the film. Only a bunch of fools who get together to steal a diamond. The movie’s punchline says: ‘Stealing Stones and Breaking Bones’.There are sequences in the film that show Shahid Kapur dressed as Superman, Paresh Rawal as Batman, Ayesha Takia as Wonder Woman, and Johnny Lever as Spiderman.Ayesha says her role in ‘Fool And Final’ is more than just wonder woman. “I play a small-time thief Tina who works with her uncle (Paresh Rawal). Then I meet Rajaa (Shahid Kapoor) and fall in love with him. But my uncle keeps pushing Rajaa to help us in robberies,” reveals Ayesha about her role in the film.Ayesha says fun went hand-in-hand with work while shooting for ‘Fool And Final’. The film’s stars were constantly cracking jokes on each other and pulling each other’s leg. They did not spare even the film’s director, Ahmed Khan. But she had an unsavory experience during her struggling days in Mumbai.Some years ago, Hazel had put her foot in the door to tinsel town when she played an extra in Feroz Khan’s movie Janasheen . After that, while she strove to get a proper role in a Bollywood flick, she dabbled in modeling and appeared in television commercials for Ponds, Sunsilk, Nokia and Lays.

During her struggling days, Hazel encountered the infamous ‘casting couch’ phenomenon when she got an indecent proposal from a filmmaker. Hazel has revealed this in an interview to a website. The filmmaker, whom Hazel is unwilling to name, reportedly gave her the offer of a movie in which she was to play a supermodel. Hazel was a bit flummoxed by the offer because she doesn’t have a good height to play a supermodel. Then, during the audition, the director told her that the opening scene of the film would show Hazel stepping out of a swimming pool in a bikini. He asked Hazel to wear a bikini. But Hazel did not have the swimming costume with her. So the director straightaway asked her to strip because he wanted to see how she looked in her undergarments.Hazel was shocked by the director’s demand and walked out of the audition. After that, Hazel says she was on her guard while approaching other filmmakers for work. But then her lucky break came with Robby Grewal’s movie Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar in which she plays an NRI who comes to India and falls in love with a boy in her school.The film, a teenage love story, is set to release on June 8.

'Metro' finds place in Oscar library

Anurag Basu 's take on love and longing in a city – Metro – has found a place in the Oscar Library, with the Academy asking for a copy of the screenplay for its record.The film, which stars Shilpa Shetty , Konkona Sen Sharma , Kay Kay Menon , Shiney Ahuja , Kangana Ranaut , Sharmaan Joshi , Dharmendra and Nafisa Ali , was released in theatres a couple of weeks ago.

“Life in a Metro, whose script too has been written by Basu, has been invited by the Motion Picture Academy's prestigious library to be part of its sprawling script collection,” a release from producers UTV said. ‘Metro’ will be amongst the films like ‘Finding Nemo’, Million Dollar Baby’ and ‘The Passion of the Christ’ that have got this honour, it said. The library has collections of more than 32,000 books, 1,800 periodical titles, 60,000 screenplays, lobby cards, over 8 million photographs, more than 300 manuscript and other special collections relating to prominent industry individuals, studios and organisations, music scores and sound recordings, production and costume sketches, artifacts and oral histories.

The initial portion of the song will show Mallika dancing against the backdrop of tents (like Helen’s song). For this portion, designer Ashley Rebello has designed a gypsy skirt (with frills) and a tiny, colorful blouse for Mallika.The latter portion of the song will be shot in a lavish set-up depicting the interiors of a casino. For this portion, Rebello is designing a translucent black gown for Mallika. The film’s director Prashant Chadha is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Mallika’s ‘Mehbooba’ song turns out to be a crowd-pulling number. Choreographer Saroj Khan has been signed in to choreograph Mallika’s dance steps. For the initial portions of the song Saroj Khan will make Mallika dance to Helen-like steps. Later, in the casino sequence, Mallika will do cabaret dance.Make-up man Mickey Contractor will give Mallika a sensuous look with smoky eyes and shiny skin. The song, sung by Reshammiya, has the same melody as R D Burman’s original composition. DJ Akbar Sami has done the remixing.Himesh Reshammiya says the audience will go in ruptures to see the skimpily dressed Mallika dance to “Mehbooba Mehbooba” in ‘Aap Ka Suroor’.Well, only time will tell that.

Karan Johar to take a 'Koffee' break

ACTING AMBITION: Karan Johar says "Now, I will go and ask directors to give me chance to act in their movies."
NEW DELHI: Versatile Bollywood director, Karan Johar does not plan to continue with his popular television chat show, Koffee with Karan , after the end of its second season. "I want to take a break from the show. It has another 11 shows to go after which I won’t be doing it for the time being," said Karan Johar who was in the city for the launch of a high-end luxury brand store for men, for which he is the brand ambassador. However, he was quick to add that he won’t be out of the silver screen completely, as he would be doing another show for a TV channel.

"My next show would be based on a similar concept," he said. Johar, who is now the only Bollywood director who is essaying a variety of roles ranging from a chat show host to walking down the ramp and being on the cover page of a fashion magazine besides being a brand ambassador now, adds, it’s not planned. Things just happen and I enjoy it." Question him on chances of him facing the camera and he says, "Why do you want people to suffer seeing me facing the cameras. But I don’t mind it either." He further adds, "Now, I will go and ask directors to give me chance to act in their movies," besides jokingly adding, "I cant act in Ram Gopal Verma's movies as he makes gritty ones and it does not go with my style."

Koffee with Karan has seen lot of celebrities talking about issues that they otherwise wont like to make public. He explains this phenomenon by saying, "I am friendly with all of them. I have known them for a very long time so when a friend is interviewing them, they tend to be really frank and open up." He adds, "The best guest on my show has been Rakhi Sawant who really impressed me because she speaks her mind and is very bold."

Disputing any rivalry between Amitabh Bachchan and Sharukh Khan (SRK), he says, "I know both of them and they have tremendous respect for each other so all the talk of rivalry is pure gossip." When asked about SRK, he says, "He is on the top. He is the best actor of the Indian film fraternity. His off-screen presence is as amazing as his on-screen and that is why he can connect to people," adding that Aamir Khan is an actor with whom he has never worked and would like to in the future. Johar who is currently working on the script of his next movie, which will start rolling early next year, says, "I make movies about issues, which I feel about. When I made Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham , I felt for something else and now I feel about a different issue."

The prestigious International Indian Film Academy Awards - Bollywood's equivalent of the Oscars - are coming to Yorkshire from 7-10 June 2007. Yorkshire will be showcased to a global audience of 500 million during this glittering star-studded four day event.

Over 28,000 visitors are expected to flock to Yorkshire and will be treated to a mesmerising extravaganza in the cities of Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Hull and York. The celebrations will start with the world premiere of the year's biggest Bollywood epic on Thursday 7 June, followed by a celebrity cricket match at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds on Friday 8 June. The grand finale, on Saturday 9 June, will see Indian celebrities gather on the famous red carpet before the Idea IIFA Awards ceremony at Sheffield's Hallam FM arena - beamed to audiences around the world.

The Idea IIFA Awards, celebrity cricket match and film festival are the only IIFA events open to the public. For the first time ever, Yorkshire will host an IIFA Fringe Festival from 6-10 June. Community events for people of all ages will be happening in key cities around the region.

The successful bid to host the IIFA Weekend 2007 was undertaken by YTB, with the support of Yorkshire Forward and key partners including Yorkshire Culture, Screen Yorkshire, the business communities and local authorities of the cities of Bradford, Leeds, Sheffield, York and Hull. The IIFA Weekend is expected to give the region's economy a £9.5 million boost and will see over 12,000 rooms booked throughout Yorkshire.

Bollywood star and Celebrity Big Brother winner, Shilpa Shetty is set to jigg to Bollywood dance numbers at the Indian movie industry's biggest awards ceremony in Britain.

Shilpa said she was thrilled to showcase Bollywood's song and dance infront of a British audience at the Hindi film industry's International Indian Film Awards ceremony in Yorkshire next month.

'I am planning to perform to all the top songs of the year. I want to show the whole of England what Bollywood song and dance is all about,' Shilpa told a newspaper. 'It's definitely going to be an exciting experience.'

The annual film awards, often referred to as 'Bollywood's Oscars,' were created seven years ago and are presented internationally to promote Indian films to a global audience. Earlier ceremonies have been held in Dubai, the Netherlands, London and more recently, Singapore.

Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan commented that superstar Shah Rukh Khan has done a great job as his successor on Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Bachchan told a magazine in its June issue that he disliked comparisons with SRK, who replaced him as the host of KBC. The media have often speculated about a rivalry between the two.Bachchan commented 'He is enjoying doing it and is receiving great acclaim,' . 'Comparisons are odious. They only make good media copy.'

With a few months left to make 'Aaja Nachle' with Yashraj Films,Madhuri Dixit is doing her rounds of the gossip vine in Bollywood. Close to winding up her comeback film Aaja Nachle, the media was abuzz with gossip that she is here to stay and reinvent her career due to rifts in her eight-year-old marriage to Dr. Sriram Nene in Denver, CO, USA.
However, post completing the last few shoots of her film Madhuri gave an interview to all local Marathi papers in which she gave her reasons for coming to Bollywood. "The offer from Yashraj Films was good," she said in her farewell remarks, "In the past three months, so many offers have come my way but I will come back only if Aaja Nachle becomes a hit. I will come back once to do any patchwork if needed as the film goes into post-production work. I came during the holidays of my two sons. The elder, four-year-old Arin is missing home already. I have to catch up on his homework before school reopens. I have to be back to my routine in Denver. I realize that eight years have passed since I went off to the US. Things have changed in the film industry. Technology is far superior now and I had to get used to new inventions and methods. I worked from 7 am to 8 pm every day, shooting and rehearsing my dance sequences. But I have done well with the support of my family – particularly my husband who was very encouraging. I know age is catching up. In some distant future, I am willing to do roles of elder women – mother may be – provided they are central to the theme of the film. After all, no less an actor than Amitabh Bachchan has shown the way for all of us!"
Madhuri boarded her flight for Denver with her boys Arin, 4, and Ryan, 2 last week and was excited about her reunion with her husband who would meet her at the airport!

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan arrived, observed and instantly generated a stir of excitement among the Indian contingent attending the 60th Cannes Film Festival on Monday.Bachchan is in Cannes to promote Eros International's new film, Cheeni Kum , as well as to participate in the rapidly expanding entertainment company's 30th anniversary celebrations.

"I feel great to be here. The buzz being generated by our cinema is palpable. I knew what to expect because (son) Abhishek had given me feedback about the awesome quality of the Cannes Film Festival in terms of organisation and content," Bachchan said.In the evening, Bachchan attended the premiere of advertising pro R Balki's maiden feature film, "Cheeni Kum", in the company of Eros International's Kishore Lulla. The audience, made up of mixed nationalities, gave him a standing ovation.A bittersweet romantic comedy, "Cheeni Kum", on its part, struck an instant chord with the audience. A skillfully crafted film, it bears the stamp of a director who, thanks to 17 years of advertising work, is technically sound and in firm control of the essence of his idea.

The film finds Bachchan and Tabu is fine fettle and the director negotiates his way through the tricky tale of a 64-year-old man falling in love with a 34-year-old unmarried woman without slipping up."There is no real difference between a feature film and an ad film," Balki said."Both hinge on an idea, only that in the case of a feature you have to sustain your interest in that idea over a far longer period. An ad film typically requires two to four months of ideation and four to five days of shooting. A feature film obviously takes much more time."Bachchan, with whom Balki has had a long association in his capacity as an ad filmmaker, was an automatic choice for the role of the arrogant, acid-tongued London chef, as was Tabu."I wouldn't have made the film without the two of them," Balki said. The cast of "Cheeni Kum" also features Zohra Sehgal and Paresh Rawal .

Bachchan, who is also the brand ambassador of the Indian International Film Awards (IIFA), said he was looking forward to his visit to Yorkshire, England, for this year's edition of the event in early June."IIFA is no longer just an awards ceremony. "I am feeling wonderful. I am very happy. By the grace of God, everything is wonderful," Aishwarya Bachchan nee Rai told a TV channel in Cannes where she is set to walk the red carpet with her husband at the film festival. In perhaps her first interview after her marriage on April 19, the Bollywood actress said: "It's all things good. It's a blessing. And it's a wonderful family," she said, going on to describe Abhishek as "superlative and fantastic.” Aishwarya said she had found wonderful parents in her parents-in-law Amitabh and Jaya. Asked if she had changed after marriage, she said, "No. I am just a normal girl in a wonderful time of my life, a very special time. It's fantastic. It's all things good." Aishwarya said she was at the Cannes Film Festival for a day after which she would continue with her holiday that is at its fag end. Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan will walk the red carpet with Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

The 60th Cannes Fest begins on May 16. And Irrfan Khan is headed to the mega event for the premiere of Michael Winterbottom’s movie A Mighty Heart , starring Angelina Jolie, Dan Futterman and Irrfan.

The three stars will walk the red carpet together at Cannes on May 19, the day of the movie’s premiere.

Reports have it that Irrfan will be wearing an outfit by DKNY or Gucci for the big event.

‘A Mighty Heart’ will be screened in the official section of the festival. While Irrfan’s other movie Metro will be showcased in marketing section.

A month after the Cannes Fest, Irrfan will be flying to the US for the American premiere of the movie in Los Angeles and New York in June.

‘A Mighty Heart’ is based on a book by Marianne Pearl about her search for her husband Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street reporter who was abducted and slain by terrorists in Pakistan. Irrfan Khan plays a Pakistani agent in the film.

Major portions of the film were shot in Pune (India) last year."

Yashraj Films has announced that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will play a cameo role in their film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom .

But it is being kept under wraps as to what part SRK will play in the film that stars Abhishek Bachchan , Bobby Deol , Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta and has an extended special appearance by Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan .
A Yashraj Films source said, 'It is not clear what part SRK will play as Aditya Chopra keeps his cards close to his chest. But he will definitely be a part of the film!

SRK has been associated with the production house for a long while and he would never say no to Aditya.'

The promos of the soon-to-be-released film already show Big B playing a special role in the film inspired by Johny Depp's character in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

The promos for the film show Bachchan wearing multi-coloured patchwork long coat, a hat adorned with ribbons, flowers and feathers and beaded hair in the vein of The Pied Piper.

Abhishek too sports a new look in the film as far as facial foliage goes. His customary stubble has been replaced with by a tweaked moustache.

Bobby will also don different looks in the film. Some scenes have him in straight black hair. Others have him sporting long, blondish hair.

'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' is directed by Shaad Ali who has also made successful films like Saathiya and Bunty Aur Babli .

Since last four years Aishwarya Rai has been a regular Indian face at Cannes Film Festival. This year might be an exception.

The 60th Cannes Film Festival in France is set to start on May 16 and many Indian celebrities are packing their bags to attend the mega event where a number of Indian movies (both released and forthcoming) will be showcased.

Production house UTV will be showcasing its films and among them is Jodha Akbar , starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan . Earlier, the film’s two stars and director Ashutosh Gowarikar were slated to go to Cannes for the film’s promotion.

In fact, the Bachchans ( Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya) were supposed to hog the attention at Cannes this year. The three family members were expected to walk the red carpet together.

But now, there seems to be a change in the plan.

Since the monsoon season is around the corner, Ashutosh Gowarikar wants to complete the shooting of ‘Jodha Akbar’ before heavy rains destroy the movie’s expensive sets in Nitin Desai’s studio in Karjat (on the outskirts of Mumbai).

And going to Cannes Film Festival means a delay of at least 4-5 days.

‘Jodha Akbar’ is already behind its schedule because of Aishwarya’s marriage to Abhishek in April.

Now, Ashutosh wants no more delays and wants to shoot some important sequences in the coming days.

Reports say Gowarikar has asked Ash and Hrithik to skip the promotional event of the movie at Cannes and rather shoot the film in Karjat before the onset of monsoon.

So it looks that Ash, Hrithik and Gowarikar will be shooting in Karjat while Amitabh Bachchan and other celebs will enjoy the Cannes Fest.

And what about Abhishek? It is still not clear whether he will be going or staying back home with his beautiful wife.

UTV's latest venture Metro , directed by Anurag Basu , will be screened in theatres across the world, except in India, without an intermission.

The film which boasts of a starcast like Shilpa Shetty , Kay Kay Menon , Irrfan Khan , Konkona Sen Sharma , Kangana Ranaut , Sharman Joshi , and Shiney Ahuja is being released worldwide today with 190 prints.

The film will have premières in world metros like Dubai and Mumbai besides the one’s held in London, Sydney, and Melbourne so far. UTV sources said it was perhaps for the first time that an Indian film like western movies will run for the length of 2.09 hours without any intermission.

In ‘Metro’, director Basu portrays the lives of three couples and their emotional journeys in a modern metropolis.

The film's premiere was held in London on Tuesday. Significantly it was London's favourite girl Shilpa's first release after the 'Big Brother' win. "

After Abhishek Bachchan ’s marriage to Aishwarya Rai , the Bachchans have become the biggest camp in Bollywood.

Just two years back, when Abhishek’s acting career was in tatters, and Jaya Bachchan was not doing films, it was only Amitabh Bachchan who was still going strong in his early sixties.

And then fortune swung in Abhishek’s favour after the release of Dhoom and Yuva . While the former brought him box-office success, the latter showcased his acting talent.

Today Abhishek has a string of successful movies under his belt and was even voted Asia’s Sexiest Man by a magazine last year. And with Amitabh Bachchan giving some of his best performances in the recent years, the name of the Bachchan clan has been steadily on the rise.

If there was any void, that has now been filled with the inclusion of Aishwarya Rai into the Bachchan family.

On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan is returning to films with Rituparno Ghosh’s Sunglass and Yash Raj banner’s Laaga Chunari Mein Daag .

Now, J P Dutta is also learnt to be thinking of signing the trio for his period film Aakhri Mughal .

While the Bachchan name is at an all time high, the Khans of Bollywood, on the other hand, seem to be uniting. Recently, SRK, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan shot together for a song for SRK’s film Om Shanti Om . The three Khans also came together for a party hosted by SRK.

But there is still no other camp in Bollywood that comes close to giving competition to the Bachchans.

After marriage, Aishwarya Rai will face the camera for Ram Gopal Varma’s ambitious sequel Sarkar 2. If sources are to be believed, the actor will be playing the pivotal role of a manipulative daughter-in-law of the Nagre family. The plot: By now Abhishek has assumed the position of the patriarch; an aged and feeble Amitabh Bachchan keeps himself to the house. The filmmaker, who is adept at making underworld-related films now shifts the focus to the daughter-in-law who eventually, evolves as the matriarch in the family. Apparently, the plot has Aishwarya masterminding strategies to retain the family’s monopoly in different underworld businesses. Abhishek will be shown falling back on his wife in times of crises. A source from the production house says, “Aishwarya’s character holds a lot of importance in the sequel. Amitabh Bachchan will be reduced to being a helpless old man who has only his experiences to share with his son, the new godfather.

Abhishek, along with his wife, will run the business and sort out problems of the people. Aishwarya will be seen as a shrewd woman.” Another source adds, “She is not an out-and-out negative character. She strikes a balance between her household work and the family business. She loves her family, at the same time she can be ruthless when it comes to dealing with wayward characters.” Reportedly, Ash will sport minimal make-up in the film. Another source close to the actor says, “She is quite excited about the film. The plot is quite close to real life. She will play bahu to the family.” The film is supposed to hit the floors in June.

While rumour mills alleged growing rivalry between superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, the two are already in the process of shooting a film together. Bachchan and Khan will soon be shooting for Ravi Chopra’s Bhootnath in July. Bachchan plays a ghost and is in the main lead while Shah Rukh Khan makes a guest appearance in the film. Sanjay Bhutiani, the CEO of BR Films, said, “There has been a delay in the start of shooting of the film but Shah Rukh has already begun shooting for the film. We will now be shooting at least 15 days a month for the film and plan to wrap up the entire shooting of the film by July-August.’’ The shooting was to start in November last year but it got delayed by four months. Debutant director Vivek Sharma said that Bachchan has a different look in the film. “He is playing a ghost for the first time. Earlier, he was shooting for two other films Cheeni Kum and Sholay . Also the marriage of his son was first scheduled to happen in February then got postponed to April. We want to shoot the film from start to finish now.’’ Sharma, who has had a long association with Shah Rukh Khan, vouches for the actor’s professionalism. “He had partied till about 7 am on the first day of my shoot, but he made sure he reached the set an hour before his scheduled time.’’ Bhootnath also marks the return of the Darr couple after a gap of five years. “Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan play a couple in the film. And it is nice to see that their chemistry remains the same,’’ said Sharma. Bachchan had cancelled the shooting of the film at least thrice and even told the producer to consult him before constructing the set.
